Dear RunnerFolk,
I was down in OKC for the timed distance races (6, 12 24 hours) put on this weekend. It's the only time I know of that you could opt to do the running on a paved surface or a trail. It was held in the Bluff Creek Park in NW Oklahoma City. Race site is http://doubledirtydozen.com/
There were a number of TATURs there running and volunteering or both. I was just a volunteer, from 11:00 something Saturday night until 4:00 something Sunday morning. I was supposed to work until 6:00 am but there were so many volunteers I headed back to Tulsa and my bed.
I saw Marvin steadily moving around the loop as was John Hargrow and Jim Perry. I'm sure there were a lot more there than that. I think Randy Ellis may have won the Men's six hour race.
Happy trails,

Dear FishFolk,
There are a lot more pictures of the race posted at http://picasaweb.google.com/24TheHardWay/132_1024?feat=directlink#
I'm sure people will recognize many local ultrarunners but there were some nationally known runners like Don Winkley, there as well.
Happy trails,
